Sun don’t shine on me.
Oh, sun don’t shine on me.
I don’t deserve the warmth you bring.
So, sun don’t shine on me.
I feel the need inside my soul,
A need to be free.
But in wickedness I hang my head.
So, sun don’t shine on me.
I know my Lord lovest me.
Wants me back home.
Yet, sin has taken hold of me.
So, for now I must roam.
Sun don’t shine on me.
Oh, sun don’t shine on me.
I don’t deserve the warmth you bring.
So, sun don’t shine on me.
I praise the Lord- His Son He gave,
For me to receive.
If I choose the path of life,
The sun will shine on me.
But till I make my choices clear.
To look and to see.
I must remain on the road I’m on.
Oh, sun don’t shine on me.
Sun don’t shine on me.
Oh, sun don’t shine on me.
I don’t deserve the warmth you bring.
So, sun don’t shine on me.
When at gates celestial high.
If my name is called.
I’ll thank the Lord my Father
That I did not fail.
Till that time I’ll do my best.
Try to spread his love.
I’ll try to be a humble man,
And pray to him above.
Sun don’t shine on me.
Oh, sun don’t shine on me.
I don’t deserve the warmth you bring.
So, sun don’t shine on me.
